They say that you die twice. Once when you cease to breathe and then, when people stop talking about you...
'Sharp Street' by Robert J. Bell tells the story of the 140 men from a single Hull street who left to fight the good fight but who never returned.... Bell takes these tales and extends them beyond the facts of the past and brings them rushing headlong into the future.

Head In A Book
'Head In A Book' is a cycle of literature events in Hull scheduled throughout the year to maintain the momentum of the annual Humber Mouth Literature Festival. It presents readings and interviews with writers of international renown. The events (organised by Shane Rhodes) are located in libraries around Hull with the intention of bringing literature into local communities, increasing the use of local libraries and encouraging more people to get their Head in a Book. Visit the Head In A Book website and see who is coming to Hull soon.
Why I like books
We have set up a website called Why I Like Books where we hope to entice writers and readers of books to tell us why they like them... As we are at an early stage in the process 'authorship' is currently by invite-only but you are able to register as a 'contributor' which will enable you to reply to any posts already written. Thank you. * Note: Why I Like Books is run by us but not for us.
